Introduction
I moved from Houston back to the SF Bay Area this past month. I grew up in Hayward, so it just feels like coming back home. I spent 8 years in Houston. I initially moved because I wanted to start over in a new city and continue my journey in Jiu Jitsu. I accomplished many things in Texas. I completed my Associates’ and Bachelor’s in education. I gained teaching experience and increased my knowledge and understanding of Jiu Jitsu. The novelty wore off and it was time to leave. There are other priorities that I need to take care of now that I’m 8 years older than I was. I decided that I need to see my parents as much as I can, there will be a time when I can’t see them anymore. I had several friends that have kept in contact with me that I want to reconnect with again. There are several advantages to living in the Bay Area, despite high cost of living(HCOL). I will be living at home or close to home. I have a support system of family and friends to confide in. I felt like I had no one to talk to during my stint in Houston outside of Jiu Jitsu. I want to build an art portfolio. I will have time to do so. I will post my progress here.
Here goes. A new chapter.
