There’s so much I want to say. I’m always worried about presentation. No, just put it out there as best as possible. Here goes.
I recently attended a hand painted sign workshop with Mike Meyer. I would like to say I started sign painting 2026. Realistically I started probably 2024.
I’ve been drawing and painting most of my life, as a hobbyist and fan of art. I dabble. Looking back at my sketchbooks and journals. I never went past that. I did finish pieces in art school. After that I never really finished a piece.
I will start sign painting. Another hobby, urgh. Keep trying new things until you find something that gives you joy.
I realized that this is not a lucrative occupation and the barrier of entry is quite high. Brushes and paint are very expensive compared to watercolor and acrylic.
